Large scrapbook of British newspaper and periodical clippings assembled by Richard H. Tawney and pasted into a Marcus War Newspaper Cutting Book. The clippings date from 1907 to 1911 and all appear to deal with social and labor issues. An index to the articles is included.

Richard Tawney, 1880-1962, was educated at Rugby and Balliol College, Oxford. He was a fellow at Balliol, 1918-1921, and an honorary fellow, 1938. Tawney was a member of the executive committee of the Workers' Educational Association (WEA) 1905, and held WEA tutorial classes in Rochdale and Manchester, 1908-1914.
